Water Club Indoor pool

If you're thinking bachelorette party, long weekend away with your maids, cool, hip rehearsal dinner, or a glamorous weekend wedding, the Water Club at Borgata in Atlantic City has got it all covered. And the best part...for those you don't want to hear the cha-ching of the slots...is that it's tucked away from all of the casino action with its own definite sense of style and class. Yet the action is only steps away...

While the Water Club is a part of the Borgata and shares the amenities of this luxurious resort, the Water Club exclusively offers 800 luxury rooms, the fabulous Immersion spa, five indoor and outdoor pools, boutique shopping, banquet and in-room dining from Geoffrey Zakarian, and and an impermeable air of calm and luxury.

When we first arrived, we found no easy way to get into the Water Club directly without going through the valet entrance...which can prove to be both a good and bad thing. While confusing at first, it also keeps out any others who don't belong. We quickly found our way through the casino to a separate section of the Borgata, and that instantly changed atmospheres from the normal hotel.

The lobby is a huge open space with soft couches and wonderful art. You feel like you are in some sort of exotic upscale rainforest-esque environment with large vegetation and running water. It is very tastefully done.

Upon making our way up to the check-in counter after giving my name, we were whisked away to a separate (no doubt VIP) private enclosed area to complete our checkout. The entire process was quick and painless, and the staff were extremely nice and helpful.

They even offer a pre-arrival concierge service, which we did not take advantage of, but next time I will. All you have to do is inform the concierge of any dining reservations, floral arrangements, tee times, special requests, or information about events and attractions before or during your stay. This would be extremely helpful to take advantage of if you're staying here for your bachelor or bachelorette party or rehearsal dinner. They'll basically tell you everything Atlantic City has to offer and how you can access it to make your event even better.

After check-in, we immediately went up to our room on the 29th floor. The room was immaculate and very upscale with tasteful decorations and attention to detail, which didn't surprise me since this hotel is brand-new (it just opened last year). The truly amazing thing though was our corner-room view with a huge window that looked over all of Atlantic City. At night we were treated to a view of the changing colors and images on Harrah's hotel and casino. It was the perfect way to spend an evening in AC!
