Barn for a wedding?

Well time as come for me to start this wedding planning business, and I need some help with my dream location. We want to get married outside, and have our reception in a barn! (Ideally, both the ceremony and reception will be at the same locale.) We're located in NJ, but are open to checking out places in the surrounding states that are nearby (like eastern PA).

We need a barn (preferably one only used for events) that could hold up to 200 people, and the grounds to be nice enough for a simple spring outdoor wedding ceremony.

So far, we've only found [url=http://weddingsinabarn.com/]Friedman Farms[/url] in PA, which is beautiful, but still over an hour from us. [url=http://crossedkeys.com/]Crossed Keys Inn[/url] in NJ has beautiful grounds, but no barn (we'd have to do a tent).

Colonial Inn

Has anyone ever had or been to a wedding at The Colonial Inn in Norwood, NJ? I cannot find any reviews or feedback anywhere!

I am also looking at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park and the Crystal Plaza in Livingston. My parents have been to affairs there and said it was very nice, but if anyone has been to a wedding at those places and has some advice...let me know! Thanks

Sterling Gardens

I have an appointment to see their place this evening. I called for information and they were very nice and were cheaper then 90% of venues that I have called so far. I want to know what the catch is! I have seen their pictures and they have a beautiful garden for pictures, their ballroom seems nice and their testimonals say that the food is exceptional! Is this just a really good kept secret?? I would like to hear from anyone that has either attended a wedding/or a party of any sort at Sterling Gardens.

Hi my name is Lyn and I live in Washington state, I am getting married in Henderson NV on April 19, 2008. The reason I am here is because my bridesmaid (who lives in New Jersey and is getting married in New Jersey) is getting married March 14, 2008. They are scheduled to go down to the court house to get married, but that really isn't what she wants to do. She would rather get married in a chapel or something.

I am hoping that I can get some recommendations of some nice but inexpensive places for her to get married. My fiance and I want to pay for their wedding, but because we are also paying for our own, we cannot afford too much.

If you could please give me some recommendation of cute, inexpensive places to get married, I would greatly appreciate it. We don't need a reception, as we are going to a restaurant afterwards. We are just in need of a location.

Where to have a wedding with 75 people??

Hey all...my fiance and I recently decided that we want a smallish wedding with about 75 people there. The problem is, I don't know where to hold it! Everywhere we've seen is beautiful, it's all just huge. We'd like it to be in Northern NJ, as our family is in Bergen County. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks so much!!

Im looking for any brides getting married the weekend of August 8-10 at the Liberty House Restaurant. Im getting married there 8/8/08 and I recently learned that during the exact same weekend there is going to be a MASSIVE concert in the park called All Points West. The concert promoters are expecting anywhere from 20-30 thousand people. There are only two entrances to the park...this is going to be a logistical nightmare trying to get our guests and vendors in. I was hoping to find the other people getting married that weekend so we could coordinate a plan of attack! Please respond if your getting married there that weekend or know who is!

Trying to have a small,small wedding

PLEASE! I am having suc a hard time planning this thing, I am ready to just elope! :w00t:We want to have something for under $1,000. So far it seems like its either all or nothing. Most places will NOT let you just have a ceremony and no reception, or wont let you have a reception for just 20 people. Does anyone know of any ideas? If we dont have a reception, but find a fabulous places to have the ceremony, that's fine.
