Michael Gould's Chapter 13 bankruptcy (Case No. 0728654) was dismissed on July 29, 2008 for failure to make Chapter 13 plan payments. Because of this development, his victims may now once again go after him in civil court for monetary awards.

I was married in 06/2005. I am still waiting for my portrait.
I have called & emailed him since then & recieved no response.
Ofcourse, I have all ready paid for everything. I decided to
google to see his website, only to find out I am blocked to
view it.

I,too, am another vcitim of Michael Gould. I was referred to him by my brother used him in 2004 and had no issues with him. I was married in August 2006 and have never received my albums. I have had no luck getting ahold of him - please help. What should I say in my phone calls and e-mails in order to get him to respond. I just want a CD with my pictures. I have pretty much accepted the fact that I am never going to get my albums. It disgusts me that he is still booking weddings. Any more advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am concerned by everything I'm reading. I was told to go onto this message board since we are using Michael gould for our wedding in July 2008. We are bound by his contract and have already paid him $1,000. He will not return our calls when I have told him my concerns about what I've heard regarding his services. I will file the complaint with the police department and take the guidance from all on this site. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

I too was a victim of Michael Gould, aka Julius Levy. Married July 2005. I only recently got my photos (I use this term loosely...I wasn't wearing a purple wedding gown) after a much fought battle that is not over. Here's were we are:

He filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

His creditor's meeting was already.
This case was suppose to go to confirmation 2/20/08.
Though you are not listed as a creditor, you would
have been notified, you can still try to file to be listed as a creditor.

You need to file a proof claim.

You can obtain this by contacting:

Clerk, US Bankruptcy Court
US Bankruptcy Court
401 Market Street
Camden, NJ 08102

Fill in amt owed you and attach a copy of your contract.

Contact his attorney Joseph Rogers and tell him you
want your original cd and a release.

Also, there are 4 criminal complaints against him
for theft by deception in the Evesham police dept.

Last I heard the case is going to the grand jury. I BEG OF YOU to file a criminal complaint against him with the Evesham police dept (theft by deception). When we were sitting in the bankruptcy hearing he sat there so smug saying he had 11 new clients for 2008.

How he can continue to get away with this is beyond me.

He needs to be stopped!

He does check his phone messages (856-292-6554) and emails. You have to make an offer to get a reply. Like if you give us our negatives we will call it even. Otherwise he will ignore you. I will let you know how it goes for me. I expect a response this week to our deal.

Michael photographed my wedding in February of 2007.

Sad to saw, but our contract with him ended in the parking lot of a Starbucks on Route 70 in NJ. He agreed to give my husband and I are proofs in return for dissolving our contract and foregoing the money we paid him (all up front as he insisted).

We were lucky in that he called my husband back and agreed to meet somewhere public. We had to draft a letter and sign it/have him sign it, to get the proofs.

Stay far away - theft by deception is right on.

I also used Michael Gould photography. We got married April 2006 and still we have nothing. We have left messages for him at 856-292-6554. At first he would call or email back but now nothing. We are trying to locate him to file a suite against him.

I can't believe what I'm reading! I was married in July of 2005 and used Michael as my photographer. My husband and I were pretty satisfied with his prices and his work, so we recommended him to my cousin (he was married this past weekend) for his wedding. They felt comfortable using him since we did and b/c of all the scams and other horror stories out there! Anyway, I saw Michael at the wedding and spoke with him. He said that after 32 years in the business he was getting out of it and that he was not longer advertising. He said that he will still do weddings on the side if he is referred. I didn't think anything of our conversation until I read your post! So, I went online to see if I could get on his site (you can't), tried to call (disconnected) and emailed him (no response). I feel so bad that I recommended this jerk! I'm also annoyed b/c I wanted to order additional pictures and have no way of contacting him. My cousin will be back from his honeymoon on Saturday so I'm going to ask him for Michael's current #. I hope this will be resolved. Please let me know if you hear anything.

DO NOT USE HIM!
He just went bankrupt and has a few criminal charges for theft by deception against him.

I have contacted my own lawyer to try & get our pictures.
